who loves, cares

Whithout further ado.

- Maria Ieda Vargas (Rio Grande do Sul) et Martha Vasconcellos (Bahia) on rapporté le titre de Miss Univers, en 63 et 69 respectivement;

- La top modèle la plus somptueuse (et riche) au monde est Gisele Bündchen (Rio Grande do Sul);

- Adriana Lima (Bahia), Alessandra Ambrosio (Rio Grande do Sul), Isabeli Fontana (Paraná), Ana Beatriz Barros (Minas Gerais), Fernanda Tavares (Rio Grande do Norte), Caroline Trentini (Rio Grande do Sul), Fernanda Motta (Rio de Janeiro) et Brenda Costa (Rio de Janeiro) figurent parmi les modèles les plus
hot de tous les temps;

1. les deux canadiennes (Karen Diane Baldwin, en 82, et Natalie Glebova, en 2005) qui ont été élues Miss Univers vient de Ontario? (étant que cette dernière est née en Russie, ni même au Canada...);

la mignonne Charlotte Le Bon, la rousse Judith Bedard, et Anaïs Pouliot, qui est en lumière maintenant);

On déborde féminité.

decisive moment

By now, at the limbo part,
between the worst which already passed and the best that will still come,
I just keep going on.

Surmounting, step by step, arriving where I want.

juggler life

Time flies! Sometimes, I just can't remember when exactly some things happened... Selective memory working, probably. No problem.

Life goes on... So much the better! After all, I sincerely don't know how it would be being a stewardess, marrying a clown (or being his eternal girlfriend! 'Wait' - that's not what I was born for! N
ot at all!). Or, even, maybe living in Italy... Who knows?!

By the way, I always thought I would have a dog... a big one (not a little kitty! - Life is very ironic! It can really surprise us - quite right too!) Well, we can't have everything... And I love what I've obtained, including all things I lost.

Choices and circumstances: c'est la vie! La mienne.

I can't complain about it... I live on borrowed time.

Lovely ♥

In the way it has to be!

Cotton wedding... OUR first anniversary.

A perfect celebration in family, between us - nobody else.

one, two, three...

Two is company, three is a crowd! - In some cases, it is really excessive... cause there is always a gatecrasher to disturb, a nosy!

At the same time, having three children is not a problem. On the contrary, I believe that is the solution, the ideal: nobody it will be aside so.

We have good examples in our families. I hope that it will perpetuate. As for me... yes!

*Of course we are starting by one pregnancy -
at the right moment, for sure. This is not to say that it will come just one! Who knows...?!

¡atención, mamás!

DO NOT leave your children without guide to Facebook, among all others social networks.

Besides harassments and pedophilia, itself, there are unacceptable and offensive behaviors which must be avoid - from kids, I mean. Parents must be both watchful and attentive about what their descendants post.

Guns, drugs, violence, promiscuous language, lies... There are many bad influences (from anywhere!); unfortunately, some, they simply don't catch. After all, there are still innocents - even if measuring more than us! However, I strongly believe that if they want to use it, they must distinguish good from bad by themselves - at least, a little (try to... Be wise!).

Love, dialogue, explanations, books, reading, newspapers, (good) movies, less videogame and internet - that's what they need to understand in a better way this world and for a responsible usage of medias and technology. Further: this inducement provided by their progenitors, then, with school's orientation - mainly nowadays, with all this bullying stuff.

amor, naquelas...

behavioral inconsistency

(not to say 'hypocrisy')

That is what everyone who intend to judge someone else must evaluate (in his life, in 'himself') before applying it and acting as a prude! Or better yet: a moralist holding his underpants saying "it is NOT what you are thinking". Thereabouts...
not practicing what you preach, briefly.

His mother married his uncle (her brother-in-law);
Father of four, he left his all children with their mothers (or whoever) to live freely;
He passed his whole life playing games of chance, drinking and smoking. Lost much money; finally , when he won, overspent everything. Guess how...?!;

During about 20 years, he used to have two relations at the same time;
On all his relationships, he always cheated, sleeping with cousins, friends and all relatives besides other strangers who charm him. Not being very selective... or even 'enough', sometimes;
In his seventies, he blame women not to be capable to make him horny (hard... you know!), disregarding his age or health conditions;
There are some complaints about conjugal violence against him;
As a lawyer, he should recpect the rules of society, and government - specialy the traffic ones. Anyhow, he is not supposed to accuse anybody whitout having duly proofs.

Thus, tell me (PLEASE!!!) if this guy deserves our attention while beefing about other's behavior - mainly women's (due to jealousy of his girlfriends/affairs). By the way, accordind to his referecences, WHO IS HIM to bemoan about 'morality'?
A model NOT TO BE FOLLOWED, of course... A bad example - only this.

It seems: the worst the behavior, the largest the anger. Sorry, but 'disgusting' is being nosey like that... Sick! Unjust, unfair, WRONG.

Well, let he who is without sin cast the first stone...

jejune

Celebrated one day before, with bunnies and carrots only as jokes, not so much chocolate, some meat, as a brunch... everything is always awesome when in family, but could be any other ordinary day!

 Maybe when our children will come, it will be different... returning to be as always did: magic.

(Honestly: the same for Christmas!)

things has changed

You say "Today is the 50th anniversary of Hitchcock's Birds" and (unfortunately) teens maybe (in fact: PROBABLY) won't know what are you talking about. For them, "The Birds" are the angry ones, from videogames.

I hope my children discern both. After all, if even I have heard about 'their', why my kids won't be able to be acquainted with 'ours'?! Knowlegde is exchange: from generation to generation - in any case.

Tuesday, 26 March 2013

hey...

Today, is the 241st anniversary of Porto Alegre, my birthplace.

I miss it a lot - because of my family and friends, and also by virtue of its singular charm. I'm very proud to be originally from there, to can say I'm 'Gaúcha' even before considering me a Brazilian (deep roots we never lose, despite the fact of moving far away).

What is more, I would like to show all you guys from where nice people like me come... that's why I chose this encyclopedic pic besides writing a long introduction in English, which is more universal.

Well, here it is: my homage! Poa, I love you ♥

the more I know about people, the better I like my cat

So as to clarify what I mean, let's take as an example the hot topic worldwide: the last pope's selection.

Positive and negative points for their choice:

- Jorge Mario Bergoglio is a Jesuit. That is to say we expect from him social justice promotion and ecumenical dialogue;
- He chose the papal name 'Francis' in honor to St. Francis of Assisi, who preached detachment of the material goods;
- As an Argentine, he is the first Pope from Americas. I would say "finally". After all, most part of Catholic people is from there - to be precise: South Americans.

On the other hand...

- When Cardinal in Buenos Aires, he had ties to the country's oppressive military dictatorship in the 1970s;
- He is severely opposed to same-sex unions (mentioning it as a 'devil' thing), while Argentine president Cristina Kirchner approved it. They were the first country in the region to decriminalise gay marriage;
- Both abortion and euthanasia, he calls those pro-choice movements as a "culture of death". He is also against contraceptive use (birth control methods).

All these (heavy - in my opinion) objections were presented and, even so, he was elected.

Well, let's see what is coming on. Actually, I haven't believed that Church still have such power as in the past, that it can change lots of things (for better)... but, we never know. At least, if doesn't mess and worsen it, it's already worthy.

fiftieth girls

Last year, it was announced that Mafalda would be turning 50 years old. An error. It will happen next year. Meanwhile, Mônica just turned 50 on 3rd March.

With no rivality (in this case), both represent their countries, Argentine and Brazil. However, Mafalda was braver, politic. Mônica was only one, when a dictatorial censorship settled down there... Maybe it could have assuaged her stories content, besides assuring her long life in newsstands, while Mafalda's publications ended in 1973 -  when she was age of nine, seven of them passed under the military dictatorship.

Five years ago, without any interruptions, the little toothy Brazilian grew up... Thus, nowadays there is also a teen version of her and and her gang. I don't know, though, if it was a good maturation changing its style for Manga...

I'm old school. I believe that we should not mess with a winning formula. Yet at the same time I recognize that youth has molted. Well, let's see... At least, they can help against bullying due to so much peculiarity in its characters.

gratitude

Maybe because I'm getting old, becoming more mature and wise, then start to see things im a different way... Perhaps also inpired by some movies as Le Scaphandre et le Papillon, Amores Perros, among others we've watched.

The fact is that, by now,  I strongly feel we should thank for being fine. Only this. In other words: not just realize while bad, sad, or sick, how both pleasant and great is being happy, having good health and peace of mind. Thus, praying heavily to heal as soon as possible, summoning all saints, God and nature.

Life might change so fast... we never know. So, I've thought about that, when well. Furthermore, I'm very grateful when I can smile freely, easily, with no pain, no ill(ness). And then, remind all of them (that are always there), spellbound by beauty of life, possibility of changes... as butterflies one.

Thanks!

If it's not demonstrated how can we notice it?

controversy

the original cover, in Portuguese

Yesterday, exaclty two years ago, Moacyr Scliar died. Independently of any discussion, unfortunately, without see his story being nominated for 11 Oscars, winning 4 of them.

Many may ask, for which movie? Well, the answer is easy, and true: Life of Pi, by (the 2013 'best director') Ang Lee.

The homonym novel by Yann Martel was clearly (and admittedly) inspired by Max and the Cats, of the Brazilian jew authour.

Some say it was a plagiarism; others, that it was not - between them, even Scliar, who, in fact, shortly, finished just not to aprove Martel behaviour while saying he used "a good idea that had been spoiled by a Brazilian writer". I understand. Martel was, at least, hostil. After all, I really don't know if he would be capable to write something similar
with such talent under the same circumstances, case in point: a dictatorial censorship.

The fact is that... this same thing he said he didn't read the original, just an unfavorable review, even so, he decided to copy it. Judge other's work without know exactly what is and use it later sounds me strange. Isn't it?! Well, lucky him I'm not a Scliar...

Apart of all this scene, on the question of the quality of both opus, I strongly believe that is worth read these two books and watch the film. That's what I'll do.

Ckeck this video out, where Moacyr Scliar comment the fuss.
