optare

If it means 'to hope' (in latin), I just CAN NOT 'desperare'!

My right motto is 'sperare' then.

After all, this was our choice...

the truth, the best choice

Always, even if it hurts...

It's better crying due to reality than pretend everything is fine. By the way:

Yes, one wil be constantly supporting the other in a couple - more than anybody else!

No, who really loves won't be the one making the partner laugh with lies (just to be cooool...)

Consciously, no one has any doubt about that.

a chip on his shoulder

Nostalgic about the past? Go for it, then!

Coming back to old recollections when it is the moment you must go forward is stupidity - mainly when your memories are not something you should be proud of...

Me, on the contrary, I am sorted-out about my life. I am firmly resolved to keep going... future-oriented!

Living as a museum? It's not my cup of tea - not at all!

Choices...

decisive moment

By now, at the limbo part,
between the worst which already passed and the best that will still come,
I just keep going on.

Surmounting, step by step, arriving where I want.

juggler life

Time flies! Sometimes, I just can't remember when exactly some things happened... Selective memory working, probably. No problem.

Life goes on... So much the better! After all, I sincerely don't know how it would be being a stewardess, marrying a clown (or being his eternal girlfriend! 'Wait' - that's not what I was born for! N
ot at all!). Or, even, maybe living in Italy... Who knows?!

By the way, I always thought I would have a dog... a big one (not a little kitty! - Life is very ironic! It can really surprise us - quite right too!) Well, we can't have everything... And I love what I've obtained, including all things I lost.

Choices and circumstances: c'est la vie! La mienne.

I can't complain about it... I live on borrowed time.

the more I know about people, the better I like my cat

So as to clarify what I mean, let's take as an example the hot topic worldwide: the last pope's selection.

Positive and negative points for their choice:

- Jorge Mario Bergoglio is a Jesuit. That is to say we expect from him social justice promotion and ecumenical dialogue;
- He chose the papal name 'Francis' in honor to St. Francis of Assisi, who preached detachment of the material goods;
- As an Argentine, he is the first Pope from Americas. I would say "finally". After all, most part of Catholic people is from there - to be precise: South Americans.

On the other hand...

- When Cardinal in Buenos Aires, he had ties to the country's oppressive military dictatorship in the 1970s;
- He is severely opposed to same-sex unions (mentioning it as a 'devil' thing), while Argentine president Cristina Kirchner approved it. They were the first country in the region to decriminalise gay marriage;
- Both abortion and euthanasia, he calls those pro-choice movements as a "culture of death". He is also against contraceptive use (birth control methods).

All these (heavy - in my opinion) objections were presented and, even so, he was elected.

Well, let's see what is coming on. Actually, I haven't believed that Church still have such power as in the past, that it can change lots of things (for better)... but, we never know. At least, if doesn't mess and worsen it, it's already worthy.

go(o)d riddance, Pope!

But, WAIT... What a f*ck?! Is it possible?? He was supposed to perform in this function until the end of his days, wasn't he?!

And WHY he did it?! Well, propably the real reasons we'll never know. However, so much buzz inpired hilarious tweets on the net. My favorite theory is that he quit just in time to play in Star Wars new movie (photo).

another joke why the pope left
Anyway, I don't know exactly why I should be happy about that...

Firstly, maybe Renan Calheiros can inspire himself and resign too! If even a Pope is able to, why not a corrupt Brazilian politician?! People will love it!

Secondly, some church rules and old concepts may, FINALLY, change with another person in the power. The use of condoms, abortion (utopia!) and same-sex marriage, for example. Then, I wake up...

Lastly, perhaps a different and audacious candidate will assume this important role. I've heard about the possibility of
the Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana - who would be the first black Pope... Cool! There are also some speculations about the Cardinal Marc Ouellet, a Quebecer.

it's said that God is Brazilian, so... why not?!
Or, it would be great if someobe from Latin America (where live most part of Catholic believers) assume the position... Why not the Cardinal Leonardo Sandri from Argentine, or even (as it said that God is Brazilian) the Cardinal Cláudio Hummes, considering that Brazil has the largest number of Catholics in the world ?!

a Latin clue

Like a man (leading), or a woman (following), doesn't matter: DO NOT try to learn Tango dancing with an Asiatic. It's waste of time.

They are so tough! Unwittingly, they'll restrain you, all passes. By all means, you'll be in retard for the next step.

One thing is certain: Latin people is more likely to execute it better. Our swing is unbeatable! Be whatever it may... any rhythm, all different beats.

So, taking some dance classes, choose always Latins (or Africans, as well) as a partner. With no prejudice.

evil fable

Bizarre things which may be read online, seen around...

New year resolutions concerning health:

- decrease smoking;
- workout.

However, on the first day at gym, before going, he snorted cocaine.

Why? To improve his performance? To bear physical activity easer?

Anyway, it's difficult to understant... It's illogical, unreasonable.

Unhealthy. Against all projections.

A bad lifestyle as option. The same of many soccer players who failed!

The worst are not the drug use, though, it's lying (to himself).

Nothing else than the old and famed choices... Improve? Recover? No: get high!

by now

The only possible change is letting my hair grow.

For me.
For love.

Probably, for the last time.

My choice, as a last sigh of youth. To end a long life stage.

It worths it.

gorgeous silver

Once, I asked my mother why she had her hair dyed. Then, I suggested her to leave it natural, grey. Finally, she said to do that with my own hair, by myself, when graying start on me.

Not at that moment, but, now, I undertand her being on the defensive. It's a delicate situation for many women witnessing their hair lose colour; thus, being obligate to dye hair constantly. Many, in fact, the majority, opt for keeping their young hues artificially.

Alternatively, I honestly feel that ladies as Françoise Hardy, Carmen Dell’Orefice, Jamie Lee Curtis, Helen Mirren, Vanessa Redgrave, and last but not least, Meryl Streep (as Miranda Priestly, in The Devil Wears Prada), are glamorous in the way they are: both old and chic.

Their look, a choise, despite thousands of advertisings selling hair dye, as I see it, means a victory, an embrace of the natural changes, an acceptance of lifecycle. Without a doubt, it's an audacious one.

Furthermore, of course, having beautiful gray hair also requires special cares - expensive too! Olden with vanity, a challenge!

Mine, in a few years. Decided!

I'm with the band

This is the Pamela Des Barres book's title. For me, the sentence means some kind of reaffirmation. A way to prove "I'm important" by being with others, living (in the shadows of) their lives.

As Miss Pamela, many other groupies become "famous", mainly in the 70s (see Cynthia Plaster Caster, "Bebe" Buell and "Sweet" Connie). However,
in different levels, even nowadays there are lots of them! Everywhere.

Personally, I think they are all dependent women. Once they need the base of somebody else to be someone, I'm convinced they haven't enough worth. Not by themselves.

Superficial people,
in my opinion. Even if important for band rock stars... to fuck with (may have a baby and finally give them a "carreer"). Status prostitutes, then. Without a doubt.

On the other hand, of course they are fun!
Sex, drugs and rock n' roll - who doesn't enjoy it?! In this context (of showbusiness), everything is cool, magic. Nothing is real, though.

Vocation is required; not truth... Well, it's a matter of choice, values. Although I've loved so much Almost Famous, I honestly don't believe in this fake glamour.

Likewise, I CAN'T trust them. Sorry, but I simply CAN'T stand who pretends to be something which is false. For their behaviour, vicarious embarrassment...

Working seriously, I avoid this type of girls. Furthermore, I'd rather they disqulify our category. Am I being too hard? Who is in the trade knows...

Vulgar, low, base. So trashy!

stylish!

To celebrate 'All Hallows Evening' in high-profile, I chose to embody a Mexican Death. Heavy make-up, flowers on hair... Cool! It worked perfectly.

Inspired by Latin traditions, it was the best option, a bang costume. Furthermore, commemorate the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is something more similar to my culture than the North American Halloween by itself.

By the way, our Finados, is also on 2th November.

on the board

Only one year together. So many things to celebrate, though.

A whole life changed, a big decision made. Choise... opportunity.

What is more, we have a promising future ahead of us. Everything which has passed, strengthen what is coming.

Nothing happens by chance.
