Ice skating: one of the most romantic activities which can be done in couple. Without a doubt.

Hand-in-hand, moving and hanging together... And if one doesn't know how to do it duly, no problem: the other is there, close, to help!

Snow is another important ingredient. Charming. Flakes falling achieve this dreamy moment, which seems a movie scene (at least, that's how I feel ourselves while on a rink!). It's beautiful! I'm very glad we can practice it a lot, in duo. Partners on ice as well.

love means no shame

Well, everybody recognizes that, once in love, we do crazy things. Passion makes us behave as insanes.

Yes, a romance may turn you into silly person, a fool of you! Sometimes, even exposing you to ridicule while declaring yourself flamed.

And you know what? You don't care (actually, maybe, just until this state of euphoria end... blow out. Then, you might repent it. Anyways, you live it intensely, with all your heart and soul.).

Public declarations of love, photos, phone calls, sms and messages... cute gestures, cherished statements.

Towards both of you, but it can contaminate others... everybody! After all, this is delightful, pleasurable, ineffable, gratifying. Not tawdry, indeed.

If the happiness of the others bothers people, probably they are 'un'- or badly loved. Unfortunately, it happens oftentimes! Therefore, I wish them for 2013 to find their other half. Having a hubby is the best medicine in this case. Seriously.

Having said that, I can say I love Montreal, its four well-defined seasons - ergo: snow during the winter (despite that sometimes may be too much).

It's something new for me, and for my friends and family. To all of those to whom it is not understandable, I do not give a shit!

Lots of photos will still be posted (such as on Facebook), liked, and commented as well. Many texts will also be written about that once in a while - whether they mean to or not. 

For some, boring; for others, magic!

We'll never forget the first snowstorm we witness... Freezing, wet, white, it's something! At the same time, it may be awesome for who is not used to. Become beautiful to foreign eyes... A romantic souvenir, even if chaotic.

All novelties turn us into a kid. That is wonderful, although all damage and trouble caused by this worst blizzard occured in Montreal area in December.

I miss that!

While living in a northern place, landscape must be completely white in the end of the year! Thick ground full of snow... to play and have fun! 

Like a child.

I just wait for this moment as soon as summer end!

Ok, Disney bought Lucasfilm (George Lucas productions rights) and a new episode of Star Wars is expected in 2015.

Once they are all birds of a feather(!), I frankly don't give a shit.

*Except for my husband, besides all supporters of Canadiens, Boston Celtics, New York Yankees and Flamengo, who are excited as children! - Disney effect; now, in men...

it's been an experience

Ok, it was not grave... I "just" waked up in the middle of the night with a strong noise, feeling the house shaking as when many trucks pass over there at the same time. 

Jokes aside, it was something (to me)! Strange sensation...

Can I freak out a little bit, at least? After all, I'm not used with natural phenomena like earthquakes! NOT AT ALL! Furthermore, this is not even supposed to happen here (what's more in that proportion)!

By the way, 3.9 Richter scale shocks in Quebec; Manitoba, Alberta and Ontario snow storms in early October(!)... Well, the weather seems crazy lately! Indeed.

Last year, it was the hurricane Irene... Which one it will be the next, Saint Peter?

Everytime I feel their sarcastic smile, criticizing me because my inexperience in walking on ice or snow, I remember of them, wiping-out in waves of the rough Ipanema sea...

I slid, I fall, I laugh, I get up and restart again (nice and slowly). Hilarious!

I'ts all about practice... Everything is new now, but I'm getting used to.

every Jack to his trade

While some learn how to  ride a bike or swim, others try not to slid on ice or snow. Me, who was born in a tropical country, I admit I’d never thought about that: the winter life, and its particularities (even being from the south of Brazil - where, in July or/and in August, the temperature is around 5°C - could for our Equatorial pattern).

Once living in a place where 0°C is normal in the Autumn (imagine the low winter marks…), I start to get know many things which before were completely left put in the cold - and seems inclusively a little bizarre to me… However, I’m now very interested in this kind of curiosities, everything that concerns my new (freezing) reality.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier, for example, had been a unknown name until this week, when a classmate presented a research about his life. Well, he was an important (Canadian - further: a Quebecer) man: he invented the ski-doo, which should be called ‘ski-dog’ (yes, with a G!), blame of a brochure typo…   

Locomotion as well as transportation are severely difficult on icy grounds. The snowmobiles he designed have been so utile next to the poles. With his creations, he turned life easier for millions of people - Santa Claus included. Time and distances changed after that.

Experiences… for one, jet skies; for others ski-doos. Necessity.

I’m blessed.

In fact, I always knew that it will snow!

For me, it is a kind of gift - special one.

Despite of being pretty cold and the slipping floor makes me almost miss one’s footing, I simply don’t care. I’m amazed.

It’s a marvellous grace.

not completely

In spite of being frustrated because I haven’t saw the lakes totally frozen (and still haven't ice skated on them, inclusively!), I’m quite satisfied. I have felt in these last days the nature power through its transformation of this season and its preparation for the next one.

It’s a magic process.

I’m sure that will be integrally done next time - not only about that... At last, it's something more complexed than the ducks habitat - unfortunately, did by halves yet.

Next cicle (time/round): I'm ready for it!

A primeira impressão é a que fica, até que se prove o contrário...

Tecnologia, frio e menos taxas.

Logo no avião já se percebe o que de melhor se pode oferecer quanto a conforto em pouco espaço, e muito tempo no mesmo lugar. Missão difícil, mas que a tecnologia se ocupa e soluciona tão bem. Praticidade pouca é bobagem. A necessidade faz o padrão – primeiro mundo é outra realidade.

Um fevereiro rigoroso, de temperaturas e eventos climáticos extremos. Aqui e agora, frio intenso, ar gélido, dias ensolarados de luz fotográfica perfeita e poucos graus é o que se vê, sente, vive. A esperança é que neve. E a previsão anima os turistas e familiares (ansiosos), que aguardam por registros da viagem.

Os bons preços satisfazem. Nosso governo deveria se inspirar na onda dos refrigerecos zero e dar um tempo dos impostos. Ampliando e aperfeiçoando a idéia do IPI reduzido, bem que poderia contemplar agora outros setores como vestuário, higiene e por que não educação, cultura e lazer também? Seria o sonho.

Estou realizando um, na melhor companhia possível. A energia é ótima, as intenções fluem, acertadas. Ganhar o mundo é o caminho a seguir, filosofia de vida. Conhecer lugares, histórias diversas, gente diferente, novas línguas... um velho continente de possibilidades onde idioma, dinheiro e fronteiras não limitam. Era hora. Não me acordem.
