in the same spirit

There are people who think that helping you once, are able to steal you later and that's ok... After all, You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.

Now, I dare: if you help people many times, can you have what belongs to you just once? By the way, through this perspective, it's not stealing, it's rights.

justice will be done

My words come back to haunt me,
showing that help can come from I least expect...

I must only thank!

ice lovers

Ice skating: one of the most romantic activities which can be done in couple. Without a doubt.

Hand-in-hand, moving and hanging together... And if one doesn't know how to do it duly, no problem: the other is there, close, to help!

Snow is another important
ingredient. Charming. Flakes falling achieve this dreamy moment, which seems a movie scene (at least, that's how I feel ourselves while on a rink!). It's beautiful! I'm very glad we can practice it a lot, in duo. Partners on ice as well.

So cute!  I love it

mais amor, menos rancor

O quanto podemos suportar desajudados?

Independemente. Só tememos o que (a)creditamos.

for well

I tip my hat to Ryan Hreljac

Aged of only six years old, this praiseworthy Canadian kid was determinated to help people in Africa, building a well for them. Touched by a class in which his teacher Cathy Prest talked about water problems in African continent, he decided to do something.

It started with $70, charged by doing some home services for his parents. Later, he raised the amout of $2,000 with neighborhood contribution. His first well was built in 1999, when he was seven. Today, he has his own Foundation, which has raised millions of dollars, contributing a total of 518 water and sanitation projects in 16 countries serving over 640,000 people.

How only a single person  can change the world? With will (whatever the age). Small initiatives, anyone, count.

Watch a little passage of Ryan's Well, a documentary about this inspiring story.

a gift

It is fairly certain this!

I would like to be one... a model.

On the top of thank all them who transform me (at different levels) in the person I am, not a ordinary one. I became a better me because of them, their lessons I followed.

In the same way, I would like to show people another window of life. Apart from helping them to identify the landscape they see, of course.

Happy Teacher's Day for all!

my contribution

I haven't had kid or adopted one yet, or even planted a tree. Nevertheless, nowadays, in my current situation, in my limited universe (but, at the same time wide due to the knowledge), I can help children by reading.

Thus, I finish this post with a Mário Quintana (my favorite poet) quote, which resumes the issue:

“Books don’t change the world. People change the world. Books only change people.”

The secret for a better world, and future.

love transforms!

A frog to a prince, a skeleton to a rose (healthy) person.

What a difference! Further: what a power of changing!

Stronger than love, only the determination for it, for good.

Pull somebody out of the gutter its not possible when it isn't a personal will, a wishing one. Others just help.

Certain: true/self love =  welfare!

everything is possible

Nothing could be stronger than our dreams.

We must attempt. It's never too late to start life over, differently, in a good  way.

Hey ho, let's go! I believe, and help you.

(what about you?!)

Any effort, every little step is very important to reach anything we want. However, it will always have temptations on the way - (bad) past things that are supposed to remain there... away.

How unbeatalbe will us let them be as to disturb and hinder us to achieve it? Will them trip us, deviating us completely from our goals?

We can NOT forget we are not alone. People can help, strengthen together our foible.

We must be patients, married. Love is crucial, reinforce.

Everything counts. Nevertheless, it's always a personal decision.

It's all about choices, (good)will(power).

bridging people

It's astounding the way how certain people simply entered in our lives only in order to accomplish a mission. Sometimes, even unintentionally.

They come, and later they go... In some cases, we'll never see them again.

Could be they some kind of angels? Maybe.

In anyway, I would like just to thank these enlightened beings, specially for connecting me to others, bridging the gap between me and my dreams. They give them a chance to come true!

my plea for the Day:

Stop violence against women!

Sexual, physical, verbal or moral - It must end.

Let's start by basic rules: No means NO and yes means YES - wherever we go,  however we dress. Simply as that. Why does society teach us "don't get raped", instead of "DON'T RAPE(!)" for men? [Indignation.]

Here we go... No to any kind of sexual abuse.

Another atrocity:

Do you believe that female genital mutilation  is still practiced in 28 countries in western, eastern, and north-eastern Africa, in parts of the Middle East, and within some immigrant communities in Europe, North America, and Australasia?! Unfortunately. Typically carried out on girls from a few days old to puberty, FGM is usual performed with no anesthesia, and all this paining process most part of time results in epidermoid cysts, recurrent urinary and vaginal infections, chronic pain, obstetrical complications and fatal hemorrhaging,

The Human Rights with supported by United Nations have concentrated efforts to stop  this crime against women. By the way, February 6th is the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation. Excellent initiative which since 1979 makes  officially opposition to this complex cultural issue.

Numbers of World Health Organization.

Socially we have overpassed many issues, and that is awesome... Nowadays women and men are ALMOST in the same level, professionally speaking. Of course we still suffer some equality problems, which may include some kind of intimidation at work. However, it is at home where could live our worst enemy. That is is where the danger lies...

Lamentably, thousands of women around the world stand this cruel situation. I sincerely believe that is the most difficult to deal with, once the aggressor is who we love (and was also supposed to love us!). Just to make things clear: violence IS NOT affection, and the person who does it IS NOT good (even less IDEAL) for us.

Here I suggest a site for who needs help, or want just to get to know more about the issue. Anyway, here it is my way to “celebrate” this occasion so important for us: appealing for peace... (!) After all, world peace begins at home.

simple as that!

No way… Definitely, it isn’t a matter of insistence. It simply doesn’t work without any chemical attraction!

I’m stimulated by that. Neither kisses or kind words, any touch nor intention until something shines inside me and makes my heart beat again, in  love.

And then: plim! - it happens when I least expect it. (I just don’t know from now when it will occur again… and with who!)

specially for today

My sincere THANKS to them, my dear friends, for being here by my side, besides their encouragement  and huge help - always. I love you all!

in tecnicolor

It’s terrible to say, but it’s true: Even some friends are more worried about where do you aim at, besides how far you are intending to go, than help you to arrive there, wherever it be…

Another verification: when it’s time to celebrate conquests, everybody wants to participate. However, when it‘s necessary co-operation to succeed, not always people who you expect will take part of it.

Thus, pratically alone, both tired and a little upset,  I admit
I care, while I'm trying not to express any sorrow. Later, of course I will overcome that!  - I hope that smiling, along with (a) good partner(s), supporting you by my side.

Right now, I’m in a mutant phase, my “Tecnicolor” moment.

Please don't you ever ask me things I wouldn't like to talk about
It's time to get in touch with things, we always used to dream about

I'll take a train in technicolor
Come along be nice to me my girl
Through the window, the nice thing on earth will pass by
Moving slowly
Though the wide screen I'm gonna see me kissing you babe
In tecnicolor

Oh ! What a nice film we would be, if only you could come with me
It's time to get in touch with things we only used to care about

I'll take a train in technicolor
Come along be nice to me my girl
Through the window, the nice thing on earth will pass by
Moving slowly
Though the wide screen I'm gonna see me kissing you babe
In tecnicolor

malandragem dá um tempo

I’m using a clear Portuguese due to the subject, which is typically known hereabout. By the way, I'm writing just because I avoid this kind of Brazilian behaviour.

I hate so much when people complain about money (while they have it!) just in order to gain an advantage over others. Although trying to convince me, nobody cuts no ice with me anymore! After all, it's not fair - maily when who needs some help is you...

Bezerra da Silva, a roguish Brazilian samba singer used to say in his lyrics that “Malandro é malandro, mané é mané” (or something in English as “a player is a player, and a jerk is a jerk”, or “once a rascal always a rascal; once a loser, always a loser”. Well, I’m not a dumb!

Seems that I finally learned to be more selfish - further: not to say everything for who simply doesn‘t deserve to know the truth, my opinion... Actually, anything about me.

altruistical love

In spite of the Valentine’s Day being on 14th February (when at 10 a.m. I fortunately received a message wishing me a good time), today, when it is ours in Brazil, I’m quite satisfied. Even not celebrating with someone special, I've been a cupid (or at least trying to be one!).

If it works, I’ll be as happy as if it would be occurring with me. After all, once I’m helping who I love (this is not to say I’m in love, though), I’m playing my best role, which makes me happy since I’m making others as well.

Good girl! - somewhat similar to Amélie Poulain, or a mobile while connecting people”.

the most precious point of view

Something I’ve learned since I’m a producer:

When it is an important issue to be discussed, or a problem to be solved, it’s better to talk to who really matters! Thus, on the whole, prefer God’s support than the angels ones.

In conclusion: without a doubt, he will attend you more effectively. Rarely could one of them help you as the 'boss' will. So, use them, but for a adventitious causes.

SOS - brazilian public health system

It is a shame! In a rich country as ours and paying the taxes as population do, should be impossible being this chaos as have been seen nowadays in most part of public hospitals.

I enjoyed so much the news about it presented in Globo Repórter and, in Record, about seniors’ health. I recognize as positive (despite miserable its content) this kind of denunciation which results in government give some answers and do something… (even if) obligated by the public opinion.

As far as I'm  concerned, all politicians should be obligated to use only (and exclusively) the public services they offer for citizens, such as education, health, means of transportation etc. Thus, social conditions will be different, of course. If they (said they that) defend our rights, they must have the duty  of sponging on everything they (should) do in our name.

Due to this injustice I don’t want to get old in Brazil. Unfortunately, I’m not proud about my roots regarding this kind of matter being so common… Help!

Deus mais tem pra dar que o diabo pra tirar

God forbid! I know that He is not one to be mocked, but it is true!

I believe. He had planned it so… He always proves us His grace even working in His mysterious ways.

God helps those who help themselves, besides had rained manna. His mills grind slowly...

Thank God! You’re my trust.

cleaning the house up

Seven years after arriving in Rio, and this itch (proper after this run) indicates that my moment asks to ending that cycle. As a rule, many people pass through this period of difficulties - some cross it over, while other decide to change their way.

(definitely, I’ve been the second type!)

It’s a decisive time - doubtless. It’s favourable to decide what will be really valid for me in the future, everything that I want to keep belonging to me later. Then, what is not useful, is better throw it away, leave it behind.

I’m literally cleaning the house, my place, my body… everything around me mainly to release space for new energies come. It’s a “simple” matter of choise. Now or never.

supporting basis

So much emotion, many things to solve, every little detail…. At this time, some help is essential to keep my foots on the ground.

My mother, both my best friend and my fan number one, is essential at this moment. She is someone who I can not only trust but count on - always.

I'm just thanking about that because for sure I'm a very lucky daughter.

After all, it is impossible to live alone.

the blame goes to...

Already regarded as the greatest natural disaster in Brazil, the landslides in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro leave the whole country in mourning. Hundreds died, thousands injured, many others are homeless and many are still missing ...

Bad luck, but, again, was not just blame nature. The people, governments ignore dangers and controI (or let construct) in places unfit for habitation. More than three cities were devastated by the flood, which was more like a tsunami.

Is fair that lots of people had to be gone just for everybody understand once and for all that changes are necessary? And fast! - right now. No is the answer - unfortunally.

On the other hand, congratulations for the initiative of city government of Areal, where he was raised a warning sound system that warned citizens to evacuate homes in risk locations and go to safe places on time. The mayor of the small town, Laertes Calil Freitas, was newsworthy worldwide.

The idea is great and works (ok - no one dead there!), but people MUST obey the request for the good of all. Smart Areal citizens! Another blessed ones, are people who is helping voluntarily the victms.
