But, WAIT... What a f*ck?! Is it possible?? He was supposed to perform in this function until the end of his days, wasn't he?!

And WHY he did it?! Well, propably the real reasons we'll never know. However, so much buzz inpired hilarious tweets on the net. My favorite theory is that he quit just in time to play in Star Wars new movie (photo).

Anyway, I don't know exactly why I should be happy about that...

Firstly, maybe Renan Calheiros can inspire himself and resign too! If even a Pope is able to, why not a corrupt Brazilian politician?! People will love it!

Secondly, some church rules and old concepts may, FINALLY, change with another person in the power. The use of condoms, abortion (utopia!) and same-sex marriage, for example. Then, I wake up... 

Lastly, perhaps a different and audacious candidate will assume this important role. I've heard about the possibility of the Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana - who would be the first black Pope... Cool! There are also some speculations about the Cardinal Marc Ouellet, a Quebecer.

Or, it would be great if someobe from Latin America (where live most part of Catholic believers) assume the position... Why not the Cardinal Leonardo Sandri from Argentine, or even (as it said that God is Brazilian) the Cardinal Cláudio Hummes, considering that Brazil has the largest number of Catholics in the world ?!

In the end, Obama won. Better, in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure that everybody is expecting from him another good four-year term. All over the world.

Obviously, being the USA President is not a easy role to play. Pondering its plural population, their fears and demands, on the top of all the rest of the planet, such responsibility becomes evident!

They believe being in the control of others issues, above everything else... even the truth, good and evil, etc etc etc. After all, they decide by themselves which governments should fall (despite chosen democratically by local people), who deserves to live, to die, among other outrages.

Good luck, Mr. President. Do your best!

Still about election process... I just got to know (through Ênquete) Pierre Poutine, a remarkable character of Canada politics.

A commonly known, as everybody else. Just a restrict group of people was acquainted with him, personally, bodily - only who created him, his identity. Actually, doesn't matter how many people were involved... the fact is that his fonction was executed: finger in Canada Federal Election last year.

This figure contracted the service of robocalls which reached more than 8 thousand voters. Because of it, these citizens reveived false information about where perform their democratical right of voting.

It was not (so) massive, but for sure that made any difference in the results. I just don't understand why they haven't cancelled this polling, making it over, appropriately. Well, honestly, I grasped their reasons... It was not interesting for Stephen Harper, who guaranteed his third consecutive victory.

I'm VERY surprise that this kind of cheap trick happens here.

In Brazil, we are used to say that things always end in "pizza", meaning 'nothing'. 

Not in elections (which are electronic there, in the bargain: a worldwide model), but in case of Mensalão scandal, differ from what has happened nowadays in Quebec with politicians involved in corruption, who are dismissaling "voluntarily" (due to Charbonneau Commission), Brazilian president at that time would be deposed. Without a doubt!

Merely for conniving (even if not participating), besides not doing anything against the corruption system estabilished, it would be enough for an "GET OUT!". Well, it would be something! 

Better for Lula that things are still smoother there... (more tolerant population)
 

what do you fear?

Before, she said be scared of Lula's victory in 2002 Brazilian presidential election. Her call,  this cut rate appeal in José Serra's political advertising didn't work indeed. Then, in 2009, Regina Duarte keeps the same cheap speech; at that time, against Indigenous People.

According the Centro de Estudo Ambientais, she is a farmer in Mato grosso do Sul. Considering that, her behaviour really does't surprise me. Both agricultural estate owner and neo-liberal, of the right... It would be comical if it wasn't tragic! One way or the other, a unfortunate philosophy of life.

Being anti demarcations, besides appropriates lands which used to belong to Indians... I'd suggest that this (not correct - in the bargain!) Ma'am lost good oportunities to remain silent on issues concerning politics.

During a delicate periode like the current, I hope she doesn't dramatize again (with or without "monsters" under her bed).This has been the joke of the year (for 10 years!).

Encore sur des craintes... 

M. Gilles Vaillancourt, le maire de la ville de Laval, prend du repos sous prétexte de problèmes de santé. Histoire de ne pas avoir un coeur assez impavide pour affronter toutes les accusations qui le concernent. 

Comme lui, beaucoup d'autres politiciens doivent être si inquiets pour être dans la merde jusqu'au cou!  Gérald Tremblay, le mairie de Montréal, peut également bien le dire...

C'est la Commission Charbonneau faisant chier! Tout un scandale sur des systèmes corruption éclatant au Québec.

Brasil - um país de tolos (ainda)

Saiu a relação anual dos países menos corruptos do mundo. No topo, ficou a Dinamarca; na lanterninha, a Somália. Destaque para os Estados Unidos, que perderam sua credibilidade e a posição entre os 20 primeiros colocados, ficando em 22° este ano.

O Brasil melhorou sua colocação. De 75°, em 2009, foi para 69° agora, em 2010. Número sugestivo, uma vez que alcançada a "incalculável" marca de R$ 1 trilhão (pelo terceiro ano consecutivo) de arrecadação de impostos - quantia essa mal administrada e distribuída, só tenho a concluir que é MUITA sacanagem mesmo!

Poderia ser essa uma crítica ferrenha ao atual governo federal, mas não culpo o Lula. Votarei na Dilma, inclusive. Essa cultura do ‘jeitinho brasileiro’, de querer levar vantagem em tudo (e sem punição) é anterior ao PT. Sim, a má condução do dinheiro público, e a má conduta de nossos governantes a respeito, vem desde os tempos do Império.

Os escândalos envolvendo o Partido dos Trabalhadores, nos últimos anos, foram lamentáveis SIM, mas, uma vez que hoje temos a possibilidade de saber desses erros administrativos, essa é uma prova de que MUITA coisa mudou, e para melhor. Antigamente, as armações aconteciam por debaixo dos panos sem o conhecimento da massa - ou alguém acha que no governo FHC ninguém embolsou nada? (provavelmente não foi colocado dinheiro na cueca, mas pro bolso de alguns foi... com certeza!)

Sem demagogia, vamos aos números, pois eles não mentem:

Esses foram os números alcançados pelo Brasil desde o início dessa medição, em 1995, até este ano.

Mais do que a classificação, importante é considerarmos a pontuação, pois a cada ano o número de países analisados muda. O índice de avaliação vai de 10 (para um Estado considerado "limpo") a zero - e o adjetivo que classifica os que atingem números baixos é CORRUPTO mesmo.

Analisando os dados acima concluímos que o governo Lula, apesar de todos os escândalos, sob a ótica da Transparency Internacional, ONG alemã responsável por esta pesquisa, alcançou números bem mais favoráveis que seu antecessor, o tucano Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

Vejamos alguns exemplos, usando a básica regra de três:

- política;
- contratos públicos;
- setor privado;
- convenções internacionais;
- pobreza e desenvolvimento;
- educação;
- judiciário;
- acesso à informação*

Corrupção vai além-governo, infelizmente. É aquela facilidade que buscamos para não pagar alguma multa, não arcarmos com a penalidade por algum erro cometido etc. A realidade ainda não é a ideal (longe disso!), mas há promessas para tanto.


Podem falar o que quiser, até acusar o governo Lula de corrupto, como em parte foi, é verdade... mas para mim é claro que Dilma, sua sucessora, é a opção certa para um Brasil melhor. E vamos combater essa cultura escrota, rumo a números mais sérios- dignos de uma nação em desenvolvimento, a cada dia com mais visibilidade internacionalmente


Por fim, não poderia deixar de parabenizar o Chile, país da América do Sul melhor colocado, por sua 21ª posição, com seus louváveis 7,2 pontos. Que esse exemplo seja seguido pela vizinhança.
