I'm pretty sure that everybody is expecting from him another good four-year term. All over the world.

Obviously, being the USA President is not a easy role to play. Pondering its plural population, their fears and demands, on the top of all the rest of the planet, such responsibility becomes evident!

They believe being in the control of others issues, above everything else... even the truth, good and evil, etc etc etc. After all, they decide by themselves which governments should fall (despite chosen democratically by local people), who deserves to live, to die, among other outrages.

Good luck, Mr. President. Do your best!

Still about election process... I just got to know (through Ênquete) Pierre Poutine, a remarkable character of Canada politics.

A commonly known, as everybody else. Just a restrict group of people was acquainted with him, personally, bodily - only who created him, his identity. Actually, doesn't matter how many people were involved... the fact is that his fonction was executed: finger in Canada Federal Election last year.

This figure contracted the service of robocalls which reached more than 8 thousand voters. Because of it, these citizens reveived false information about where perform their democratical right of voting.

It was not (so) massive, but for sure that made any difference in the results. I just don't understand why they haven't cancelled this polling, making it over, appropriately. Well, honestly, I grasped their reasons... It was not interesting for Stephen Harper, who guaranteed his third consecutive victory.

I'm VERY surprise that this kind of cheap trick happens here.

In Brazil, we are used to say that things always end in "pizza", meaning 'nothing'. 

Not in elections (which are electronic there, in the bargain: a worldwide model), but in case of Mensalão scandal, differ from what has happened nowadays in Quebec with politicians involved in corruption, who are dismissaling "voluntarily" (due to Charbonneau Commission), Brazilian president at that time would be deposed. Without a doubt!

Merely for conniving (even if not participating), besides not doing anything against the corruption system estabilished, it would be enough for an "GET OUT!". Well, it would be something! 

Better for Lula that things are still smoother there... (more tolerant population)

Pour ceux qui n'ont pas regardé le film, voici une brève explication:

V, le protagoniste (à propos: mon héros préféré!), mène une vendetta personnelle contre le gouvernement fasciste au pouvoir à Londres. La date pour qu'elle ait lieu n'été pas choisi au hasard: est inspirée par «la nuit de Guy Fawkes», également nommée «la nuit des feux de joie», célébrant la Conspiration des poudres du 5 novembre 1605. 

Dans les deux moments, ils visaient d'exploser le Parlement de Westminster comme une façon d'opposition au système - avant, le religieux; après, le politique - le but du vengeur masqué de la bande dessinée de Marvel.

dans la vraie vie...

À cause de menaces de fusillade évoquées sur les réseaux sociaux, une école secondaire à Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu a été fermée ce matin.

Sur des murs de la Polyvalente Marcel Landry, des graffitis peints évoquent la date d'aujourd'hui. Possiblement, en lien avec le film «V pour Vendetta».

Heureusement, rien n'est arrivé. Demain, l'institution rouvrira ses portes normalement.

Je ne savais pas, mais en regardant le film Polytechnique j'ai connu la triste histoire de la tuerie de l'École Polytechnique de Montréal.

Pendant l'hiver de 89 (le 6 décembre, plus précisément), beaucoup avant des célèbres cas étasuniens de Kip Kinkel et de Columbine (eternisé au cinéma par plusieurs films, à exemple de Bowling for Columbine, de Michael Moore), l'étudient Marc Lépine (alias Gamil Gharbi) a ouvert le feu contre 28 personnes dans cet etablissement d'enseignement. Il a tué quatorze (toutes des femmes) et a blessé quatorze autres (4 hommes et 10 femmes) avant de se suicider.

Le motif? L'antiféminisme. Il a laissé cette lettre.

Ce massacre s'est passé en moins de vingt minutes à l'aide d'un fusil semi-automatique obtenu légalement (l'oiseau ne tombe jamais loin du nid - à l exemple de les politiques d'armes de feu de leur voisins).

Comme ceci, plusieurs d'autres incidentes ont eu lieu en milieu scolaire, même au Canada - avant et après.

À n'en pas douter: un jour inoubliable!

Au bout du compte (mais non moins important), ce soir le mairie de Montréal, Gérald Tremblay, démissionne. Finalement. 

La nouvelle ne me surprendre pas, ensuite son repos (forcé. De même, M. Gilles Vaillancourt, de Laval). Il a pris quelques jours pour réfléchir. Était-il nécessaire? Bon, au moins, c'est fait.

C'est finie son administration douteuse et peu fiable. Éclaboussé par de multiples allégations visant sa connaissance par rapport aux actes «irréguliers» pendant il était en poste, il quitte la vie publique. 

Fera la commission Charbonneau renoncer M. Vaillancourt aussi? On présume.

Line Beauchamp durant le printemps dernier, Jean Charest juste après l'élection (à lequelle il a échoué), maintenant M. Tremblay... Qui sera le prochain personnage directement impliqué dans la crise étudiante à  tomber?

D'autre part, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois reçoit beaucoup d'appui pour ramasser la somme de 74 000 $ dont il a besoin pour qu'il puisse défendre sa cause devant les tribunaux. En environ 48 heures, plus de 1700 donateurs l'ont aidé, parmi eux la Confédération des syndicats nationaux (CSN).

L'ancien co-porte-parole de la CLASSE a été reconnu coupable d'outrage par le juge Denis Jacques, de la Cour supérieure du Québec. Son jugement est en appel.

Remarquable: charisme a un valeur inestimable. Principalement en politique.

This is the Pamela Des Barres book's title. For me, the sentence means some kind of reaffirmation. A way to prove "I'm important" by being with others, living (in the shadows of) their lives.

As Miss Pamela, many other groupies become "famous", mainly in the 70s (see Cynthia Plaster Caster, "Bebe" Buell and "Sweet" Connie). However, in different levels, even nowadays there are lots of them! Everywhere.

Personally, I think they are all dependent women. Once they need the base of somebody else to be someone, I'm convinced they haven't enough worth. Not by themselves.

Superficial people, in my opinion. Even if important for band rock stars... to fuck with (may have a baby and finally give them a "carreer"). Status prostitutes, then. Without a doubt.

 
On the other hand, of course they are fun! Sex, drugs and rock n' roll - who doesn't enjoy it?! In this context (of showbusiness), everything is cool, magic. Nothing is real, though.  

Vocation is required; not truth... Well, it's a matter of choice, values. Although I've loved so much Almost Famous, I honestly don't believe in this fake glamour.

Likewise, I CAN'T trust them. Sorry, but I simply CAN'T stand who pretends to be something which is false. For their behaviour, vicarious embarrassment... 

Working seriously, I avoid this type of girls. Furthermore, I'd rather they disqulify our category. Am I being too hard? Who is in the trade knows...

I recognize that it is not fun suffer the effects of a hurricane (NOT AT ALL!). Nevertheless, I have the impression that USA are always maximizing everything in favour of them (news, included!).

This makes me doubt about (the dimension of) what is REALLY happening there. After all, anything which occurs in yankee's territory (mainly in NY!) seems be more important and relevant than whatever, wherever... (!)

Egocentricity, imperialism... call it as you will! Not minimizing its consequences, but the fact is that I suspect that Sandy was worse to Haiti, for example. Poorer, miserable, where situation is supodesed to be even more tragic.

On the other hand, differently from Irene (which passed last year accros the Est Coast), Sandy was not such intense here, in Quebec.

Fantômes, vampires, sorcières, loups-garous, zoombies et toutes les genres de monstres typiques d'Halloween... Je jamais ne pensais d'être si impliqué dans cette culture!

C'est beau... les enfants (et même les adultes!) se déguisent, puis les gamins cherchent des bonbons, plusieurs histoires d'horreur sont racontés, les maisons et les rues sont fortement décorées pour cette occasion. De plus, c'est le meilleur party de l'année! Le plus trippant!

En étant à l'Amérique du Nord, c'est impossible ne pas s'engager! C'est comme aller au Brésil et ne pas y célébrer le carnaval! En outre, pour eux, c'est vraiment comme ça: leur carnaval!

Par contre, je comprends les gens là-bas qui s'opposent à ces festivités qui ne nous appartiennent pas. Je suis d'accord: sauf les écoles d'anglais ou de la culture anglaise, je ne crois pas qu'on doive les fêter avidement alors que certaines traditions brésiliennes, plus significatives à nous, sont mises de côté pour commémorer la réjouissance des autres.

To celebrate 'All Hallows Evening' in high-profile, I chose to embody a Mexican Death. Heavy make-up, flowers on hair... Cool! It worked perfectly.

Inspired by Latin traditions, it was the best option, a bang costume. Furthermore, commemorate the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is something more similar to my culture than the North American Halloween by itself.

By the way, our Finados, is also on 2th November.

During a delicate periode like the current, I hope she doesn't dramatize again (with or without "monsters" under her bed).This has been the joke of the year (for 10 years!).

M. Gilles Vaillancourt, le maire de la ville de Laval, prend du repos sous prétexte de problèmes de santé. Histoire de ne pas avoir un coeur assez impavide pour affronter toutes les accusations qui le concernent. 

Comme lui, beaucoup d'autres politiciens doivent être si inquiets pour être dans la merde jusqu'au cou!  Gérald Tremblay, le mairie de Montréal, peut également bien le dire...

C'est la Commission Charbonneau faisant chier! Tout un scandale sur des systèmes corruption éclatant au Québec.

La phrase est du livre de Mara Tremblay que je suis en train de lire, 'Mon amoureux est une maison d'automne'. Un beau cadeau que j'ai reçu de chers amis.
 

C'est vrai: ce période me fait rêver... Travail, famille, voyages, rencontres, maison, minou, pitou, bébé, enfants. L'avenir de la vie.
 

Tout ça va arriver, mais chacun à la fois, au bon moment. Comme il faut.

More than words... A tragedy in Brazil!

Firstly, it was the colonizers - Portugueses and Spanishs. Then, Catholic church. Later, farmers and cattlemen-landowners (well, leaseholders... inasmuch they took possession of wide territories which before belonged to Indians), passing for young bourgeois criminals who lit native people on fire alive (supposing be dealing with a indigent - honestly, a ridiculous excuse!). Finally, both government and police... All accomplices to native Brazilian indians extinction.

Well, their enemies are many. Indirectly, they are even more copious... society, included! - after all, silence implies consent. Nevertheless, a huge repercussion took place on social networking in the last days. Even though just online (and so late!)... It's something!

Tired of fighting for the right of living in their own land, the entire Brazilian tribe Guarani-kaiowa (a community of 50 men, 50 women and 70 children) decided to commit mass suicide. It's pitful and regrettable the incompetence of  Stade towards their cause.

A genocide has happened since the discovery - many murders, besides living waiver, from Indians. It's not difficult to understand their intends once we give their concept of live its rightful relevance. Thus, we will understand all complexity and difficulty of their Teko Porã (welfare) nowadays. Furthermore, grasping their reasons, we'll learn more about word, the true and soul based on it (for them, Ñe'ẽ - soul word; for us, something worthless, once we are used to not keep promises). 

So, considering their letter announcing their extermination, we must not wait another thing by them - unless Brazilian powers don't let the worst achieve... Hellooooo! Somebody there?!

Sincerely, for me (from the bottom of my heart), the life of these 170 persons is more significative and also important than the ones of our 531 federal deputies or even of the hundreds owners of farms located in Mato Grosso do Sul. Or all them together!

de la culture, n'importe où

18h30 d'un jour de semaine... Il fait tout temps chaud dans le métro.

Il n'y avait pas du monde dans le vagon, seulement 18 personnes.

Une lisait le journal (pas les gratuits), une autre était à feuilleter une revue, et une troisième regardait attentivement un prospectus.

Deux autres écoutaient de la musique sur ses ipods, pendant deux autres jouaient sur ses mobiles (ou checkaient des messages...).

Cependant, ce qui a retenu mon attention, c'était le fait que huit passagers lisaiet des livres... parmi lesquels, plusieus appartenaient à la Grande Biliothèque! (son tampon est tellement apparent qu'il est impossible de ne pas remarquer!)

Les trois dernières ne regardait rien - peut-être les fenêtres, en attendant qui le temps passait vite... C'est pas fou, ça arrive.

La majorité des gens, donc, avait le savoir sur les mains durant le voyage! C'est bien.

J'aime ça d'ici, cette culture.
