While some learn how to ride a bike or swim, others try not to slid on ice or snow. Me, who was born in a tropical country, I admit I’d never thought about that: the winter life, and its particularities (even being from the south of Brazil - where, in July or/and in August, the temperature is around 5°C - could for our Equatorial pattern).

Once living in a place where 0°C is normal in the Autumn (imagine the low winter marks…), I start to get know many things which before were completely left put in the cold - and seems inclusively a little bizarre to me… However, I’m now very interested in this kind of curiosities, everything that concerns my new (freezing) reality.

Joseph-Armand Bombardier, for example, had been a unknown name until this week, when a classmate presented a research about his life. Well, he was an important (Canadian - further: a Quebecer) man: he invented the ski-doo, which should be called ‘ski-dog’ (yes, with a G!), blame of a brochure typo…

Locomotion as well as transportation are severely difficult on icy grounds. The snowmobiles he designed have been so utile next to the poles. With his creations, he turned life easier for millions of people - Santa Claus included. Time and distances changed after that.

Experiences… for one, jet skies; for others ski-doos. Necessity.

Somehow (or other), many things change when you, finally, find your better half. Being a couple requests from both a different behaviour. Inevitably. However, you are going to do that with pleasure, from your all heart, freely ('cause, when involved, it happens naturally, without any requirement - and with NO doubts!). Everything joins, fits, matchs… thoughts, wishs, needs, feelings.

Nobody's alone anymore: now it's "two-in-one"! A great union of part(ie)s and sides. At the same time, (and on the other hand), there is a consolidation of individual qualitys of both of you which fortifies the relationship once even the differences prove you get along perfectly. Thus, stronger, you can go far, wherever you want, besides being able to face anything.

Together, during a (french) kiss you can experience it more intensely, or… why not while making love?! - the best thing to do by pairs, the intimatest one! Simple as that: there isn’t better place to be in the whole world than with your love, inside him (or vice versa), embraced, inseparable. This completes me.

Which was the biggest one that you have committed?

Probably most part of people will answer something as a huge and extreme change, or even a real madness - indeed. Me, on the other hand, I prefer the little simple things to prove that I've a crush on him.

I sincerely believe that it is possible demonstrate all love I feel through routine acts. As time goes by, inclusively, those are exactly the details which couples used to forget... putting them aside as long as they get along.

Making your partner a sandwich, for example, with all ingredients he likes (and had gone so far so as to buy them!), doing that with all your heart... I'm pretty sure as much as he is going to be pleased, he'll fall in love! - day by day, more and more.

However, if he doesn't, you can try to please him with other "easy" kindness. He is supposed to be charmed by every single thing you do... (at least in the first three months of relationship) and return you both this care and affection.

On the contrary, for sure you can make different things, in order to amaze him... take a extreme resolution maybe, but I don't think it's necessary a so heavy work when love is reciprocal, when both are involved. When we give someone more than other deserve, it's not fair with ourselves.

Simple as that. It's the law of attraction: it's giving that we receive - and it MUST works. After all, life should be a two-way street. If not, it doesn't worth...

I'm in love with French, I admit.

J'essaye... parler, comprendre, écouter, répondre correctement, être compris! Since I arrived in Montreal, and now, mainly because I'm studying it, it's impossible not to say I'm completely involved with the idiom.

Actually, I used to be when I attended some classes in the past, but it was not so intensive. While interested, it was not the same experience as living in a place where everybody speaks that, where the language is partout!

I fell in love, as a tree leaf fall... naturally. By now, I can say I'm changing (not my color, but the way of my thoughts, et ma vie). By the way, it's already Autumn!

Well, for sure, it’s another season for me… Why not? Since I’m discovering different things far from home, and blooming as long as I’m not so green anymore. C'est ça... tout a fait!

It’s natural… as being in love, looking for someone before the winter come, wanting and also accepting all changes.

Ça arrive... C’est la vie!

Feeling myself welcome - Now, more than ever, I’m prizing it (once I’m satisfied with the way which people deal with immigrants in Canada)! Differently I was used to pass in Europe, here, there are not only opportunities, but (and mainly) respect.

Furthermore, other aspect that makes me appreciate this country is its people's kindness. Without a doubt, they are completely different from, for example, most part of Dutchs who I've met in The Netherlands - rude and indelicate when giving short answers, always with no smiles in their faces.

Although their idiom seems a little brute for us, while, for instance, the Latin ones make us closer (of course), it's not only a matter of language. Even descending from French, Quebec's people are so cute and solicitous - much more beloved than their European ancestors, who, unfortunately, don't have one of the best appealing reputation - at all! Sometimes, inclusively, the anglophonic Canadians seem be even more captivating, but is not a plain fact! Maybe this unfavourably impression is made à cause des mes difficultés et de les particularités du français... Oui, peut-être!

Finally, there are many other reasons which make me believe I’m in the right place right now… Almost feeling myself as in home (or 'chez moi'). My only challenge, the worst one, which impedes me to affirm I’m 100% sure of that, is the winter(!) - that haven’t started yet. Probably, it’s going to be as cruel as colder than any other people in the whole planet! Wow… I wonder myself if Canadians are going to keep joy and so gentle even under less 30 degrees! Well, let's see.

*By now, I would like to excuse myself with Holland and French people, since I love them and their places. However, it's important to be sincere AND, in such case, EVEN WITH NO CRISIS, Europeans generally tend to have so much (related to behavior and mood) to learn with other peoples in order to improve their manners.

How ineffable (and wonderful) is feel the mix of nervousness and anxiety with excitement while waiting for a call - a special one, of course. This happens due to the butterflies in the stomach, those which make you feel as a 'silly romantic girl' sometimes.

I confess I would like to experiment that sensation more often. Actually, not ‘only’ this, but pass through ALL process related to be involved with someone else who turns you on, and vice versa. By the way, reciprocity is essential to go ahead.

It just works when really ‘plim’! That means, first of all, it's necessary a minimum of chemical attraction, and this phenomenon is totally involuntary. So, thousands of people can call you without (at least) make your heart beat stronger… In other words: we cannot command our own feelings; the fervour of our heart does not depend on our decision.

Thus, I hope he makes by himself the right choice not to waste my precious time, energy and vocabulary with who doesn’t worth!

On the other hand, in a place where you don't have many friends, you await for simple and kind invitations in order to have some company to do something; anything... indeed! You are more opened than usually, leaving some considerable discretions aside.

In this case, it's important take care and avoid any lack or needfulness. After all, in most part of these movements, hurry and quality standards are inversely proportional. So, it's 'dangerous' while being as vulnerable as alone!

Then, all this mess in my stomach starts to arches (and also worry me) a lot...

As time passed, more and more, I’m sure I’m interested in eccentric men. Although I can’t see anything sexy in a type as Woody Allen, for example, I’m used to be involved with some guys who remind me of him.

Fortunately, it’s possible to say that it’s not his physique which attracts me in my pretenders, but the odd way how he demonstrates his charming intelligence. At least, not so bad… After all, it’s undeniable his geniality! - and for sure that captivates me.

No one would dispute that creative genius and extravagance both get along. On the question of having intellect and sagacity, I confess I’m easily fascinated by - even tolerating a little madness sometimes… Finally, no one is perfect!

With glasses, short, older, shy and a little neurotic… they are almost everything which girls like me tend to avoid. However, at last, to conclude: I honestly prefer a strange one than someone extremely beautiful, but stupid. Furthermore, I don’t care! From up close, nobody is normal (not even me!).

A sad reality among so much happiness and perfection...

I’ve never thought about rapes or sexual violence in Canada. However, today I was informed that around one in four women has suffered some kind of sexual abuse here, or even attempts, at least once in her lifetime. “Too much!” - I said impressed to Julie, who attended me in the 2110, giving me some information about sex issues.

Actually, I don’t know if this number is refered only to Montreal (Quebec) or if it is a mean of all their cities. I used to live at easy, calmly, with no worry about that here… until tonight! Coincidently (or not!), a guy tried to grip my arm under a viaduct while by my side. I was a little afraid, without understand what he wanted... and could do with me there. Fortunately, nothing happened due to a lady who passed by bike exactly at that time, disturbing him (and helping me by chance! - Thanks God).

Although Mtl seems being a peaceful and safe city for women, it‘s better pay attention - always! I‘m going to inform myself about who are the men who commit it, the way it occurs here and why. I‘m sure that the reasons (besides the “basic” uncontrollable desire of pervert men) are different for the Brazilians. Let’s verify… and as soon as possible, I’ll write explaining something which is simply inexplicable - inadmissible and unforgivable.

By the way, congratulation to people who help others with these sexual problems, all demages...

Despite implicit, the heaviest scene I’ve ever seen about that was played by Monica Bellucci in the French movie Irréversible. It’s extremely distressing. I hope nobody, experiences it, or undergoes a traumatic similar situation, wherever.

Actually the SAME, but improved.

At least, I think so… once my new version is more versatile, light, opened for new experiences, and ready for any change (or rather… any challenge!).

And how much I’ve changed…! Getting some advantage to be in Canadá, right now, for example, I just ate bread with chicken and Dijon Mustard, which is finger-licking good. What????? It is exactly what you read: m-u-s-t-a-r-d (I like it, since it is Dijon - only that!). Haven’t I said I am another one? Well, it’s true!

Good reasons to celebrate(!), some beyond my control, besides the personal ones…. The fact is that I decided to stop with soft drinks and other fat stuffs. Furthermore, from now, I’m avoiding mayonnaise (even still loving it) in order to feed myself in a healthier way - by the way… in many respects!

Let’s wait for the next season to see other natural transformations…

Usually, in the first-world countries it’s rare see a adults with two children… So, three is practically a miracle! In Brazil, it’s different: anywhere you can meet many infants provided basically by couples with both no instruction and economical conditions (having much more than two, inclusively).

Here, it’s impossible walk dans les rues and simply ignore the fact that there are many babies in the city. Young couples are procreating… A LOT! A 'baby boom' has happened!

I like seeing that once I think about my friends who would like to have all this structure and basis to carry their kids whatever they go. In parks, malls, supermarkets, on the streets or metro - they are partout!

There are as much as pigeons at Copacabana, for example - even more…! It’s not a plague just because they were (and are!) welcome here. Nobody looks at them seeing a problem, even their crying. A 'baby atmosphere' is all over! Everybody helps... It seems perfect.

It’s really nice see my contemporaries forming happy families. Yes: H-A-P-P-Y. Very satisfied. They are not losing anything while having babies. On the contrary… any programming of the parents here includes les enfants. Wonderful for who loves ces petits.

Writing about that right now, I realized some huge difference between quebecoises and bresiliens: I haven’t seem yet kids with babysitters or grandparents. They are always with mama, papa or playing with some family’s friend(s). Everybody enjoys them - wherever!

Definitively, it’s a perfect place to do that. So, let’s practice!

Considering a city crowded by children, of course there is a parade of good fathers… REALLY good, indeed! For me, a single lady (mainly today - on The Single’s Day), this is the “worst” part of the city.

It's a terrible experience when you are obligated to do things by halves just because you are without all your goods. In some cases, it's necessary some kind of juggling to survive only with a half of your stuff.

Imagine reduce your whole life in a mere luggage - everything divided in two suitcases (realize that many concessions were done in order to suit there!). Now, think about the possibility to lose one of them… something you don't expect besides you are not able to acquire that easily again.

Well, IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME… !

I'm improvising right now… Furthermore, I'm trying not to panic, although I'm conscious that there is nothing irreplaceable (or rather: excepting water and oxygen, there is nothing which we simply can't live without…).

Unfastening, loosening, altruism, self-denial - I definitively must learn much more about that! (of course while preying to San Expedito to Air Canada find my baggage AS SOON AS POSSIBLE in order to have my complete life again! - at least the part I chose to move on - with me).

I'm sure we can chose the color of our lives - both the saddest and the most happy one. It s up to us!

So, after special changes, for instance, I decided not to have my kitchen utensils orange anymore. By the way, nothing against Holland… on the contrary! However, I have already come a long way.

From now, I'll take it easy and restart seeing this (current) world through (my) child's eyes. Thus, for me everything is all right again - even if it said it is not all a bed of roses.

Actually, living in (a) Rosemont (réal), finally I guess it may be - at least for my new stuff, besides the romantic language I've learned and the opportunity to be happy.

By the way, without a doubt, what United States have produced the best is soul music. North American black people changed the world with their rhythm in 50’s. They inclusively created the Rock n’ Roll. Furthermore, both Blues and Jazz Music… Anything else? No, only this is enough.

This weekend happened in Arpoador, here in Rio, part of the 9° Bourbon Street Fest 2011. On Sunday and yesterday some excellent artists from New Orleans (the black south city which was ravaged by hurricane Katrina in 2008) presented their shows outside.

I was marvellously surprised when I arrived there on Sunday, after beach and saw a nice audience seated cleanly and neatly, well-behaved, civilized, waiting for the beggining of the shows (which started in late). Seemed like some festivals in European parks. Of course some other individuals (who came late) complained about that, asking them to stand up (because in this way, more people could be in smaller space in front of the stage).

Some minutes later, unavoidably, in view of the circumstances, they attended them, but in order to dance. After all, the music is contagious! Everybody was dancing... It was crowded - the proof that Brazilian people appreciate this kind of international event. It was an excellent initiative to bring more culture and good music… for free.

Unfortunately, even living in a coast city as Rio, sometimes we tend to forget this mere “detail”… Maybe because the access is so easy that it is necessary little effort to have this facility. The major loss is the sun energy which give us vigour and a (enviable!) tan colour on the skin.

Every time this happens, I regret to waste all this grace offered for free by nature. I don’t ignore the fact that we are blessed. So, I thank God for that while diving into the sea or when taking some sun shower. After all, both are divine!

It’s also healthy - undeniable. For me, only this is already capable to cure some evils, solve things once give enough vitality to go on. My tip is to enjoy and take it as hope for better days. As Carrie Ten Boom used to say: “Let God’s promises shine on your problems“.

All children enjoy playing that. At these days, I have a little less patience, I admit… mainly when in fact it is happening in my real life. As in its 'adult's' beginning, I’m living right now an atypical situation which requires me unfastening.

Although I’m not completely satisfied, I know that it is just a mere period which will pass very fast. Then, I will be able to laugh a lot due to that (soon!), while seeing stars in another context, exactly when my ‘little girl’ dreams come true.

*All in all, being grown ups sucks... It's too much responsability, many changes and problems to face that sometimes I wish to live an eternal childhood! (safe at my place, of course)

It’s a difficult simple act, mainly when is destined to who we love. On the other hand, it is necessary... This special moment is awaited by everybody, although no one wants to do that indeed.

Which is the best way to behave (while demosntrating you'll miss them)? I hope my family don’t think I’m insensible only because I don’t feel myself comfortable at that moment.

I try to contain my tears not to show them my emotion, all my weakness in not to be able to shed tears with no problem. In fact, it is a matter of not to know how to say ‘I love you’ easily.

Lastly, a simple ‘goodbye’ came timidly. After turned on the heel, though, I burst into them… working its pump. (No, I’m not so cold as I seem…)

From now, it's better for me to prepare myself to do it more often - crying or not.

It's time to get in touch with things we always used to dream about (or we only used to care about - actually, doesn't matter... both verses of Tecnicolor mean I did everything wrong when I "accapted" abaseing myself for him.

Finally, it's enough! Even still interested, I can say 'no' and go out, leaving him in his reality (which I confess I haven't understood yet - and I won't, though...). I reckon it is easier when you have another measure to compair and verify how stupid you have been being giving credit to someone who simply doesn't deserve it/you!

Happy - after all, who doesn’t like to gain gifts? As a little girl, I confess I was astonished when my father gave me his own poncho - something I know that it is special for him due to its gaucho's tradition, our culture.

Even surprised, I couldn’t deny… It will be more worth for me. Essential - it’s possible to say, owing to the severe cold weather. Now, I can’t stop thinking in other types which I might ask “mom” or “dad” later!

Well, I USED to say I enjoyed raisins… just because I really did! However, people change - me included! Now, I start to feel myself different about that (I confess I’m worried about time).

Wrinkles: it’s not exactly the matter, but the vigour and all the process related. Without that, for me it’s impossible to keep crushing on anyone, attracted… involved.

My current moment is quite atypical!

I’ve never thought I will be able someday to eat things with mustard and enjoy their taste. I really don’t know what is happening with me… However, it’s a good moment of changes. And I like novelty, the unexpected.

I didn't found the three new Ruffle’s flavours in Rio so I tasted it in Porto Alegre and I’m “simply” amazed, specially with the Eduardo's invention: the honey + mustard one! - Exotic, it’s even better than both Strogonoff(les) and Yakisoba(aaaa), the others. It’s delicious, such as those special periods you pass along who you are in love with.

I vote for him! Oops… for that: honey moon… stard! Do him a favor too voting here.

By the way, I’m involved with mustard now, as never before. A sweet moment for me…

I watched a PSTU advertising extremely touching. Amanda Gurgel, the young complainer teacher who became famous online, with a explosive speech about her salary of mere R$ 910 and the worker’s situation in Brazil supporting the carioca’s firemen action. They recently went to “the jail” at their own place of work only because were arguing for better salaries for their category.

While they were asking to earn somewhat better than the current R$ 950 per month, Palocci said they were trying to gain some advantages… Well, it’s easy to criticize other’s attitudes while ours is ok Palocci and the other politicians earn a “little” amount of R$ 26.000. Furthermore, he has been investigated due to changes of robbery of R$ 20 million of public money only in the year of 2010.

No, it’s not a joke… It’s the (sur)real situation in Brazil.

By the way, congratulation for PSTU owing to its courage to disturb my dinner once rearing much truth at once.

On the other hand (always it is like that…) I’m surprised with the structure of Graal company of road restaurants. For instance, they have at their places three or four types of food to offer - lunch, snack, breakfast, dinner and fast(junkie)food - there is inclusively some kind of Mc‘Donalds there! (selling good sandwichs). All these things served in huge, clean and clear places, - where is possible being online, watch TV, use the restrooms etc.

Nowadays those convenience places are such as the shoppings in downtowns (they are pratically 'road malls' - indeed!). Nevertheless, I’ve always wondering myself about road lifestyle, how (strange) living around the roads could be… always seeing everybody passing there, while travelling, but few people staying… This kind of thoughts - mine, I have had since I was a child. Of course I used to think about security matters too. It seems dangerous for me, but actually I don’t know how it really works…

I just verified that it is a very good market! Definitively, they succeed.

It’s terrible to say, but it’s true: Even some friends are more worried about where do you aim at, besides how far you are intending to go, than help you to arrive there, wherever it be…

Another verification: when it’s time to celebrate conquests, everybody wants to participate. However, when it‘s necessary co-operation to succeed, not always people who you expect will take part of it.

Yesterday, Brazilian Football Team disappointed all of us, its supporters, once the players “simply” kicked the bucket while they must had thrashed Paraguay at American Cup’s semifinal.

First of all, I hate when is used SMS while it’s possible date people. Unfortunately, some guys prefer to communicate aloof, sending you some text in stead of call and invite you to take some drinks, talk… whatever! (everything which is possible to be done between two people)

Some cell company's here, in Brazil, support in their advertisings my concept. Inclusively, they present many advantages to have credit on your mobile just to be able to call anyone. So, follow it: be a caller, not a amateur! - please. (By the way... never call collect!)

Stupid, men sometimes miss good opportunities of pleasing… being closer, for a song. Calling permits to have a instantaneous answer, besides feel the intentions of the other who speaks while hearing his voice... For instance, it’s not essential put a ‘kiss’ in every end of the message. However, it’s cute. Furthermore (and mainly:) women both observe and care about that! - this is a case when cheap becomes expensive. SMS could be not profitable!

All in all, without any kiss, I’m going my way, following my intuition and choosing what is worth (or not) for me… what has satisfy me at the moment. Certainly, it’s not being unimpressed, apart, that will me turn me on, overwhelm me, make me crush on him.

I used to be happy when living in an overfull house. Each one of my furniture meant a bit of my effort to make my place a comfortable one to live in.

Today, on the Man’s Day, I just want to say that they are not as strong as they try to convince us. A man has been robbed for a long time and, one day, decided to put some kind of artifice to catch the thief, as a rat-trap (or a man-trap?). Precisely: the baddie took the bait. He fell into the trap prepared there, waiting for the exact moment of the robbery.

The most astonishing thing of this story (surprisingly) is the fact that the 'official crime' was the robber's death, not his attempt to steal goods. The police put all the blame on the house's owner. For them, it was not a self-defence issue. Actually, it doesn’t matter anymore...

Unfortunately, nowadays, the law is not on the citizens' side indeed - even when protecting themselves… trying to have some security which government “simply” doesn’t give us. This is our (as stupid as nonsense) current Brazilian reality.

I can't stand too much unfairness. Living here seems a pitfall.

Actually someone else… a lucky guy! (once I have a crush on him)

Well, ten years ago were the graduation ceremonies and memorable parties the major reason to celebrate; nowadays, alternatively, has occurred a baby boom in my friends circle - fact which deserves sublime happiness. On the other hand, it worries me.

Of course in our (early) twenties, many of us (began to have or) had children. However, nowadays, in (almost) thirties (or a little more yet), that situation makes me wonder myself if I’m delayed about that, or, rather: if it will happen to me - and when.

Time runs… Some ‘nephews’ (sons of my generation people) are turning 10 this year! Many closer friends already have two kids inclusively! Other have been pregnant or have given birth recently... I reckon it hasn’t been the best time to live that - and I would regret if I had already had one, I admit.

Looking through the biological point of view, within the next years I must decide if I want to form a family, or not. Then, it will be my turn to become mother… and I hope that with a good husband by my side to take care of me and my offspring (after all, storks only bring us the babies, don't make them!).

It is not novelty that Rio de Janeiro is high-priced lately. Everything here are more costly than two years ago. In this period, all prices simply doubled. Rentals, food, transport… all basic items have inflated by now.

The 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games are to blame. Rio is top notch right now. It has been most expensive live here, in Rio, than in Paris, for example - something unacceptable once people here don’t earn in Euro as happens abroad.

Rio has been a comfortable city only for foreigns, who can pay for it. About ’gringos’, another issue which has occurred is the fact that many are coming in order to work here - much better prepared (speaking English, Spanish, French etc, using computer suitably and with a cultural background much more rich than ours).

It is a unfair competition, as well as a cruel reality for us, who live here. It has been a desperate situation that was recently sprung for common salaried carioca citizens.

While I’m saying that, our main worry at these days is the current explosions of light manholes in Rio.

During the last two weeks, five subterranean gallery blew up. Besides the explosion itself, the manhole cover is a real danger. It can hurt seriously who is around when hurled away.

The first accident occurred last year and affected two American tourists in Copacabana. Their bodies were grievously burned. More than a year passed and considerable arrangements or preventive measures haven't been taken by Light, the electric company (ir)responsible.

In fact, I’d rather refer myself with it than using the word ‘possessions’ for what I‘m writing about... I’ve already written something similar before, at a resembling period of my life. However, now it is for real.

Or the first time, I’m finally inclined to set me free easily of many things which have left me connected to this place. They stole our patriotic feeling. It has occurred for 47 years. After too much time (and fear), it’s understandable that Brazilian people haven't been used to express correctly all them love for your country.

Nowadays, it’s possible feel that only in special occasion such as World Football Cup fellows wear the colors of our national flag - neither in the Olympic Games the pride has been showed so enthusiastic. However, rarely in political events has it been expressed.

Seeing the World Military Games advertisings on television I wonder my self about this issue. Furthermore, Amor e Revolução has proved that who really had taken care of Brazil were the revolutionaries - the same that got up and participated of guerrilla, against Army.

For me, everything has been wrong for a long time. Unfortunately, I reckon it will be hard to change the current situation… population behaviour, their feelings inclusively. By now, Brazlians simply love football while forget other important items.

People here must to bear strongly and shut up (and with other possible negative adverbs - in, off, out) all these dictatorial decades. It was not easy - and still it is not. Maybe some campain would help - not a political one, but another which is over against the reality of our politics.

The slogan used for them to divulg their games (“Forças para garantir nossa alegria”) has surprised me in a bad way. After all, I don’t trust in force in order to make someone happy... even a nation. I swear I would like to believe that Army can guarantee peace(as they say, but, actually, I don't. Despite not showing so much of the city (I chose to love it) on the screen, I recognized quickly that beautiful place and I hope to be there as soon as possible. Nowadays having a credit or debit card is above money in cash - at least is what Visa is saying in its advertisements. Seems as a joke that someone who pays for something in cash will be mocked, mainly because of change. They have given us the impression that the commerce is avoiding receive money payments.

With no masks…

Since I’m a good-natured person, it’s difficult for me believe in which people is up to do so as to gain some advantage over someone - inclusively me. Why not? Overall, I’m a little silly compared with those both traitorous and disloyal folks.

I’d prefer to feel goodness from who should cooperate (in stead of trying to turn things more difficult, disturbing me). It's hard to believe that the enemy could be by my side. The way I see it, who is working together compound a team. Don't they?!

Unfortunately, it seems not... After all, it is impossible to trust as well as count on someone who pull a fast one on his partners. Being a good professional, or even the best, doesn’t means to pull the rug from under somebody in order to reach the top. The efficiency of someone shouldn't depend on others’ failure or misfortune, not at all!

Involved with so many children. I've noticed that as soon as I could imagine it would be broached the way to conduce them for freedom. Well, the liberty will happen independently of parents and their will.

It's natural - mainly when dealing with kids from ten to twelve years old. Clearly, they are growing up... maturing. In my opinion, it is a special moment to be lived with responsibility.

"You became responsible, forever, for what you have tamed" - this Saint-Exupéry’s speech illustrates quite fine how huge is this step for infants. That is to say children acquired their own rights conscious of all duty it means.

Puberty (in this case, more than Red Bull) gives them wings. I’m pretty sure that when it is conquered day by day, with advices of mothers or fathers (or both), probably their future will be easier, with no unlooked for situations nor very unwelcome surprises which can bring some trouble along.

As far as I’m concerned everybody should give them, as homeopathy, periodical doses of independence until they become teenagers. On the contrary, problems of bad administration with freedom can show up.

Now, when I’m connect to lots of parents and their children, I’m learning more about them - many new information, realities… In the same way, I’ve been wondering myself which way is the best one for their creation.

People tend to regard that it would be ideal if the couple would be married or living under the same roof. However, the new and more usual concept of family have changed since more divorces have happened.

Between the adults, remain confused sons and daughters. From their point of view, of course, they’d prefer a normal family - with mum and dad in an as lovely as good relationship. In fact, everybody would, once nobody got married not to last.

Unfortunately, it has often happened in Brazil, or rather: in the whole world! Thus, all parts have to set an agreement about the best solution related to children, to give them welfare and comfort.

This is not to say that they obligatory should stay with the mother, especially when fathers are so participative and interested. In these cases it is better to divide all responsibilities, despite of exclusively the financial ones.

In other words, the joint custody seems to me a positive way to lead the separations which children are involved. The matter is that mothers simply tend to don’t accept the fact that some fathers are able to create children too - with or without women.

We can’t put any blame on them due to decades of men’s negligence about their children’s lives. As a consequence of this common men’s behaviour, they have held the reins of the situation alone until now.

So they keep believing men are not supposed to stay with their children, even with some ex husbands trying to be more present and useful than most part of other ones. Usually they see their progenies only once in fifteen days - not enough… indeed.

I suppose this kind of women’s selfishness related with the kids is somewhat sexist. I’m convinced that if mothers could leave (a little) aside (at least) the maternal role, they would be happier once they would use this free time as so to be play more as a female, to take care of themselves.

In extreme cases ex wives inclusively boycott men saying for their offspring that they don’t care about children, while they do. By the way, paternal alienation is a crime against men (but doubtless, it is even worst for children!). Though, it is a subject for another post…

To sum up, I just discovered another familiar structure I see as not only fairer but also effective for everyone.

This theory about myself is supported since I’m extremist in most part of my opinions. On the question of rapes, crimes against children, genocide, corruption, besides other terrible acts, I honestly feel that I have no mercy about those criminals who committed these cruelties.

Taking the example of Ameneh Bahrami, a Iranian woman who asks as punishment for the man that hurled acid on her face exactly the same fate... It seems to me quite fair. Her attacker, a spurned suitor she refused, was condemned by that atrocity to suffer in the same way in which she did in the past, when her face was almost totally deformed.

At that moment that she became blind, likewise an odd figure. Even after had been submitted to several surgeries, her face is not beautiful and perfect as before… far from it! For a woman, a crueller fact.

Set against this issue, everything that is happening now related to terrorism is a consequence of a seed planted in the past. Some call it revenge… I’d prefer define as ‘karma’ - which each one has yours, indeed.

I was so lucky to had discovered aspargus last February... Served with calamari stuffed by shrimps as well as soaked by soy sauce, it's “simpy” delicious! - a real Chinese delight (a speciality of a famous restaurant in Amsterdam).

The green or the white one? I still have no preference about that, only a starving palate for tasting new savours.

In 2010, was the time of lychee. Terrific! - especially in (Brazilian) ‘caipirinhas’ with sake in spite of vodka or cachaça.

Although the book’s name said it is (or would be) “Por uma vida melhor”, in English: in favour of a better life, frankly, I doubt. After all, how using writing in a wrong way as something usual will lead people to this way of life, helping them to do it correctly? I suppose anything but that.

That is MY opinion. Many questions about the effectiveness of this method arise from the moment we are dealing with linguistics, cultural issues and education. It’s too complex.

However, I’m convinced that is better show good examples, mainly if it is for adults - who have more difficult to learn, due to the delay to do that. A little caution is essential in this case.

Be it this way or the other, the fact is that no one would dispute that the sentence “Nós pega os peixe” (in English, somewhat as “We takes the fish”) is completely erroneous, even if people have used it in their spoken language. It should serve by example about what is not to be done.

I hope that the 484.195 Brazilian students who will use this book can distinguee easily what is wrong in writing. Unfortunately, I hardly believe that they will be able to, once they are trying to learn the correct Portuguese when using that material.

At the moment, I don’t care about on who Education Ministery put the blame of had approved this kind of (inadmissible) mistake… On the other hand, I reckon that Heloísa Ramos, the author, was unsuccessful in her wrong words. From now, nothing will erase that of her carreer...

I’m not sure if, during both my childhood and teen ages, my idea of being an intelligent person used to be other, or if Jo Soares became worse as time goes by. In actual fact, I’m convinced that Jo isn’t a good interviewer.

In the past, I got to think he were, though, but not anymore. I confess I have changed my opinion since the beginning of my journalism course at the university (when it was still OBLIGATED - I’m saying that because as important as necessary it will be always… However it is not a prerequisite to work with information anymore, unfortunately).

The reality is that he does not convince with his disconnected and incoherent questions which don’t give to the audience not even a shallow knowledge about people who are giving him a interview. Sometimes his program finished while we keep without having a good notion about many relevant ideas related. At the same time, he definitely isn’t able to play bongo, especially “alive” (according the jargon of his colleague Fausto Silva that who is capable to, can do it even alive).

By the way, why does nobody tell him that? (his director or anybody else…) Does it happen owing to some kind of respect to old people, dinosaurs of Brazilian television? I think so. Furthermore, considering his high age, no one could dispute that it is a factor set against him. Even using a pre-interview as a support, sometimes he lost the fluidity intended. Unfortunately... Even so, many people have still liked him.

Sometimes, during the exercises, I think about that: where am I going? To my dreams, once I can imagine me slimmer.

It’s a paradox, but my aim is 'less'. .. fatness, fewer kilos than in my early working out days. As a result of so effort, getting the better of it, obtaining more strengthened muscles, vigour and robustiousness.

When health is the main issue, less is more - both wellness and life quality. In this case, weight and self-esteem are inversely proportional.

Doubtless nothing bothers me more than people's fear in saying the truth. I really don't understand how answer mere words as 'yes' or 'no' can be too difficult. I can't stand co much cowardice!

Today, on the 75th birthday of Dedé Santana, one of the most famous Brazilian humorist, I have some to say...

Firstly, nowadays, our television is really need of better people making us laugh. At least, Zorra Total is a crap, excepted for that it has introduced us some talents such as:

- Samantha Schmütz, playing Juninho Play and as a child at these days;
- Katiuscia Canoro, as the extravagant Lady Kate;
- Maria Clara Gueiros, with the caracther Laura, who presented the jargon "Vem cá, te conheço?";
- Fabiana karla, that used to play the role of “Gislaine”, a personal trainer that was always saying “Isso não te pertence mais”, and now is “Dr. Lorca” – who advice about what “Pode” and “Não Pode! (can/can't).

*By the way, recently, when two known journalists (Zeca Camargo and Renata Ceribelli) are working out intensively to make them slim on the air, it is in fashion those worries about health, physical exercises etc.

I would say that is necessary more intelligent humour programming, comparing with the 80’s. However, I’m in doubt if ‘Os Trapalhões’ was a nice TV program, or I was only a child - easy to be convinced by any silly joke…

I remember some chapters that I dislike because Renato Aragão’s character called Didi were always taking some advantage of his other friends, included Dedé. I confess that I used to enjoy in particular both Zacarias and Mussum.

Other excellent and memorable Tv program was TV Pirata. Albeit, it was not for children… as the quartet’s one. Nevertheless, TV Pirata has an incomparable black comedy. It was excellent being sarcastic… a watershed on our screens.

In fact, I reckon that this is the main current matter nowadays: quality of programming, the contend of jokes, the smartness of the script - more than the way the casting plays… In most cases while they are good professionals, the basis aren’t. So, doesn’t work!

Casseta crew have tried, for a long time, they were on the top, but couldn’t keep their texts as sagacious as before… Nowadays, maybe the audience prefer another kind and format similar to Pânico (which sucks, in my opinion), or CQC - ok, I like it very much, but is more journalistic than only comedy.

Thus, we can confirm that the old concepts about being the ancient has changed since who is grandfather-aged at the present time was someone avant-garde in the past, even revolutioners, in some cases. Teens and early adults of 60’s are almost 70 now. People has gotten old… by the way.

It’s interesting that those folks must be well-behaved when their grandsons appear… Different generations, another History! Finally, I believe that will be easier to respect the third-aged people more from now than it happens before, when there are no admiration.

Lastly, I’ve been wondering myself about the example that our parents gave us with their roles when they could change the world. Or rather: when they were young.

On the contrary of north americans, that were drugging themselves while had asked for peace and love, Brazilians were fighting and dying in reason of their ideals. Ok, I know that some of them went to Vietnam, but this is another History... other context.

In Brazil, for instance, people who are now more than 50, could had done something against the military dictatorship. This mournful period lasted 21 years. So, during the 60’s and 70’s, when they were young, it was the time to act. Think about that and answer me what did your parents do at those days?
